Our events are focused on having FUN and playing FAST with the goal of a 4 hour round.

417 GOLF CLUB is a public oriented golf club located in Springfield, MO. The golf club is open to both men and women who want to maintain an official golf handicap index and play competitive stroke play golf in the Greater Springfield Area. Check out our Mission Statement! Come join us and socialize with a broad and diverse group of players representing a wide variety of local communities and industries.

BECOME A FOUNDING MEMBER FOR $125
The annual dues are only $125 per year and are good for 12 months from the time you register. This gets you a Founding Membership in the 417 Golf Club, the commemorative coin, and a guaranteed prime Saturday morning tee time every week to compete at one of the Springfield-Greene County Park Board Golf Courses. We play monthly at RIVERCUT GOLF COURSE named to GolfWeek's 2022 Top 10 Missouri Public Courses and rated No. 1 Missouri Municipal Golf Course by Golf Digest in 2009. "The Cut" is a beautifully challenging 18 Hole Championship Course set in the picturesque James River Valley of the Ozarks and is the crown jewel of the Springfield-Greene County Park Board's public courses. Additional events are held at Bill and Payne Stewart GC and Horton Smith GC throughout the season. You will feel the pride and sense the history of these three courses as you navigate their superbly maintained fairways and meticulous, challenging greens. On Thursday afternoons you'll usually find some members playing for skins at the Betty Allison Par 3, a fun and family-friendly 9 hole course next to Bill and Payne Stewart GC.
As a member you can play in as many or as few events as you like.

A season long points system starting May 18th based on net scores and event participation determines the
GOLFER OF THE YEAR TROPHY!!!
The more events you play in, the more points you will earn. All Major Tournaments award TRIPLE points!
WEEKLY COMPETITIONS:
"The Weekly Saturday Morning Round", 18 Holes, Stroke Play Golf
Paying out to 1st & 2nd Gross Score and 1st - 5th Place Net Score (handicapped).
2024 Prices: $11 registration fee is for Prize Pool Only. Players pay for greens fees and cart at the front desk. ($31 - $66 depending on course and cart)
Gross/Net Skins Game: Skins are optional and will be an additional $11 for those that want in.
Venue alternates between 3 Springfield-Greene County Park Board Golf Courses
Gross and Net winners of these events earn an invitation the TOURNAMENT OF CHAMPIONS!!!

2024 GEICO® 417 OPEN Championship - 2 Days Saturday, May 18 and Sunday May 19
2024 Club Championship - 2 Days Saturday, August 17 and Sunday August 18
2024 Tournament of Champions - Saturday, October 26

No problem! This club was created for people just like you!!! Simply click the blue button above and register without a GHIN Number. Once you join as a FOUNDING MEMBER for $125 you will be assigned a Club Handicap Index. Next you will immediately be assigned a GHIN Number through the 417 Golf Club and the Missouri Golf Association. Simply post your scores from just 3 different 18 hole rounds (or 6 scores from 9 hole rounds) at GHIN.com and you will have quickly established an Official USGA Handicap! This world-wide handicap system means all golfers, no matter their ability, start every tournament on a level playing field with an equal chance to win!!! Continue to post your scores after every round to automatically update your handicap.
